You can set up your Tubespace site on any custom domain that you own from any domain host/registrar.
If you manage your domain through GoDaddy, Namecheap or Google Domains , please click on the name to see detailed instructions specifically for those interfaces.
If you use any other domain host/registrar, you can do a google search for "How to change DNS settings on {insert your domain host name here}"
These are the DNS settings you will need to set inside your registrar. Each interface is a little different, but will require you to set an A-Record and a CNAME RECORD with the following information:
A-Record Instructions and Settings:
Depending on your domain host, enter either @ OR your-domain.com (this is your domain with no www. in front) OR leave the field most often referred to as Host or Name blank (this will all differ depending on your domain host) Enter 18.189.85.40 in the field most often labeled as IP Address or Record. Important ! : there can only be one A Record with "@" in the Name field. If there are more than one, the extras must be deleted.
CNAME Record Instructions and Settings:
- Enter www in the field most often referred to as Host or Name (this will differ depending on your domain host) (please note: when you enter www, your domain host may automatically change your input to www.your-domain.com)
- Enter domains.tubespace.io in the field most often labelled as Target, Data, Value, or Record (field names will differ depending on your domain host) Important ! : there can only be one CNAME Record with "www" in the Name field. If there are more than one, the extras must be deleted. To explain what you are actually changing: An A-Record tells your domain host that when someone types in your_domain.com (without www. in front), that it should show your Tubespace site. A CNAME Record tells your domain host that when someone types in www.your-domain.com (notice the www. in front), that it should show your Tubespace site. If you require subdomains other than www. to show your Tubespace site (for example, you may want youtube.your-domain.com or videos.your-domain.com), you can create CNAME Records as per the above instructions but replace www with the subdomain you require. These can be either instead of or in addition to the www one.
Do you need HELP?
The best way to get help on this process is to talk to your domain provider, not Tubespace. Tubespace does not have access to your domain provider account, so unfortunately we cannot offer much help!
Send this help article to your domain provider and they will know exactly what to do!
Of course, after contacting your domain provider, if things still aren't working, don't hesitate to use the chat bubble at the bottom-right of this page to ask for help.
